Transition Town Marlow was the 200th community to join the Transition Town movement. (in August 2009.) As a group, we are working together to do our part as a community to help mitigate the effects of climate change and the end of the oil age.
We aim to create a viable degree of sustainability and resilience – the ability to withstand environmental changes.
Together, as a community of 14,000 people, we have many of the resources and skills to reduce our own carbon footprint and, co-operating with other transition towns, help to make a measureable contribution to reducing green house gases in the UK.
